After starting fresh with Megan in Season 5, Don Draper's duplicitous ways appear to be rearing their ugly head(s) again on the new season of Mad Men.
In the new Season 6 poster, created by veteran '60s magazine illustrator Brian Sanders, a worried Don Draper (Jon Hamm) is walking down Madison Avenue while another version of himself — this time in a grey suit instead of black — walks the opposite way. Does this mean Don will be again be leading double lives when the show returns? After all, he seemed to at least entertain the invitation of an attractive young woman last time viewers saw him.
The poster shows Don holding the hand of a woman, but it's unclear which woman that is: Is it Megan (Jessica Pare)? Or someone else?
There are also several cops in the background, which either means one of the two Dons is in serious trouble or, more likely, that the show will be diving further into the civil discourse and the counterculture that marked the second half of the '60s. More LSD for Roger, please?
The new season of Mad Men premieres on Sunday, April 7 at 9/8c on AMC. What do you think of the poster?
