Lucifer Season 5 Gets Supersized With Six Additional Episodes

You're getting loads more Lucifer during its final run. According to TV Line, Season 5 of the devilishly good series has been expanded to 16 episodes -- a huge jump from the 10 that made up Season 4 -- giving the show plenty of room to find closure for its memorable characters.

Season 4, the show's first run on Netflix after its cancellation at Fox, found Chloe (Lauren German) grappling with the reality that Lucifer (Tom Ellis) is what he's been saying all along after finally seeing his true Devil face. But just as she began to accept it, a group of rogue demons staged an uprising that forced Lucifer to intervene. Realizing his friends would never be safe as long as he remained on Earth, the fallen angel returned to his throne in Hell, but not before exchanging an emotional "I love you" with Chloe. There are plenty of things we want before the show ends, and a reunion between these star-crossed lovers tops the list.

The final season must also address the prophecy that Lucifer and his first love -- who he admitted was Chloe and not Eve (Inbar Lavi), as previously assumed -- would unleash Hell on Earth. And now that Linda (Rachael Harris) and Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) have decided to keep their newborn son on Earth, they'll need to remain on high alert to protect the young Nephilim. Plus, Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) and Eve still need to figure out if those complicated feelings for each other translate to a meaningful relationship.
