The Emmy winning actress plays Della, the mother of Cedric the Entertainer's Reverend Boyce. She is called to St. Louis when her estranged husband Barton (John Beasley) decides he wants to move to Florida permanently after visiting his brother there. Stamps (Wesley Jonathan) will enlist Della's help in keeping his father in check.
