L&O vet Jerry Orbach has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, his manager has revealed. But, he told The New York Daily News, "We expect he'll be fine. He's been playing golf, shooting his episodes and doing real well." While the actor is on the mend, his new show, L&O spin-off Trial by Jury (which is set to debut in '05), will work around his treatment schedule, exec producer Dick Wolf told the newspaper.
