Here's the sitch: Kim Possible, the beloved '00s Disney Channel animated series, is coming back as a live-action Disney Channel Original Movie, the network announced Wednesday.

Kim Possible originally ran from 2002 to 2007 and included two complimentary DCOMs during the show's tenure on the staple children's network. Now it's getting a live-action reboot written by the show's creators Mark McCorkle and Robert Schooley and co-directed and co-produced by Adam B. Stein and Zach Lipovsky. And the casting search is on for the real Kim Possible, who was voiced by Christy Carlson Romano on the original series.

Kim Possible told the story of a seemingly normal high school girl whose extracurricular activity was saving the world, aided buy her sidekick Ron Stoppable, his pet naked mole rat Rufus, and a 10-year-old computer genius named Wade. Kim was an empowering character at a time when female-led animated series were few and far between.

No premiere date has been set.
