New mom Tina Fey is cutting her maternity leave short in an effort to stop the bleeding at Saturday Night Live, currently in the throes of its most severe creative meltdown to date. Fey, who gave birth to her first child less than two months ago, will return to SNL this weekend. "I had to get back to work," Fey said in a statement. "NBC has me under contract; the baby and I only have a verbal agreement." Translation: These are desperate times at SNL.
