Lindsay Lohan Jeers Her Dad, Michael Lohan Fires Back
Lindsay Lohan isn't going home for the holidays, but distance won't keep her family concerns at bay. "My father just let my family and I know, amongst others that he had another child after my little sister Aliana, or maybe he had it before Aliana??" she wrote Tuesday on her MySpace celebrity blog. "Either way, he cheated on my mother and that really sucks." Lohan's father, Michael Lohan, faced allegations last June from a woman who claimed he had fathered a child with her 13 years ago. At the time, Mr. Lohan told OK! he had been in a relationship during his marriage to Lindsay's mother, Dina Lohan, which had resulted in a pregnancy. Now, it seems, Mr. Lohan is opening up about it to his family — to the mixed reaction of his eldest daughter. "I think that people go through a lot in life," Lohan mused in her blog, "and the things that we go through, whatever they may be, simply just make us stronger in the long run." Michael Lohan, meanwhile, blames much of Lindsay's personal troubles — as well her decision to stay in LA for the holidays — on her girlfriend, Samantha Ronson, who he believes actually wrote her Tuesday blog post. "Sam wants to create turmoil so Lindsay has reason not to come back to NY," he said in an email to TVGuide.com, adding that he hopes Lindsay "get[s] rid of the darkness and come into the light. Where she was and belongs... My God. I pray for her."
In her entry, Lohan says that her life lessons have made her identify with another star on the upswing: Britney Spears. Spears' recent trouble "is not necessarily a bad thing," Lohan wrote. "It teaches young girls and boys that there are certain things in life that you should not let get in the way of your dreams and accomplishments."
Along with a shout-out to several of the songs off of Spears' recent album, Circus, Lohan added, "YAY Britney for just being you and still following through with your dreams."
