Could Lindsay Lohan be in trouble with the law again?

Lohan was named a suspect in the theft of a $35,000 Rolex watch, reports TMZ.

Michael Lohan prompts sheriff's department visit to Lindsay's apartment to check on Ali

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that a friend accidentally left the watch at Lohan's Los Angeles home earlier this year and never got it back. The sources also say cops have photographic proof that Lohan knows exactly where the Rolex went.

The actress denies any involvement, TMZ says. "The allegations are completely untrue," Lohan's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley told the website.

The West Hollywood Sheriff's Station declined to comment.

The news comes a day after Lohan was visited by Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputies to check on her 16-year-old sister, Ali. The visit was prompted by a call from her estranged father, Michael Lohan, who was worried about Ali's welfare with Lindsay. Police later ruled Ali was not in danger.

Lindsay's mom, Dina Lohan, denied that Lindsay had put her sister in danger. "Lindsay is absolutely, 100 percent, not [a bad influence]," Dina told People. "Ali is amazing. She loves her sister. Would I let my daughter go anywhere that's dangerous? I mean, come on, Ali and Lindsay need to be protected from their ex-father."
