Lifetime Orders Glen Mazzara's The Omen Sequel Straight to Series
Lifetime has ordered Glen Mazzara's thriller Damien straight to series, the network announced on Monday. Based on the 1976 horror classic The Omen, the follow-up series is about the adult life of Damien Thorn, the mysterious child from the original film, who has grown up seemingly unaware of the satanic forces around him. Haunted by his past, Damien must now come to terms with his true destiny — that he is the Antichrist, the most feared man throughout the ages. This is the first television gig for Mazzara since his exit s the showrunner of The Walking Dead. It is also Mazzara's first project under his deal with Fox Television Studios.

The series, which was given a six-episode order, will be produced by Fox Television Studios and is slated for an early 2015 launch.
