The LEGO Movieopened big at the box office, grossing an estimated $69.1 million,Box Office Mojo reports.

The animated film, featuring the LEGO versions of popular characters like Batman, C-3PO and Green Lantern, now ranks as the second-largest February opening of all time behind The Passion of the Christ.

The Monuments Men, which also debuted this weekend, followed in second place with $22.7 million. After two weeks at No. 1, Ride Along dropped to third with $9.4 million.

Frozen held strong at No. 4 with $6.9 million. That Awkward Momentrounded out the top 5 with $5.54 million. Lone Survivor came in sixth with $5.3 million, preceding the weekend's third major new release, Vampire Academy, which bowed at No. 7 with $4.1 million.  

Rounding out the Top 10 were The Nut Job (No. 8, $3.8 million), Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (No. 9, $3.6 million) and Labor Day (No. 10, $3.2 million).
