The Toronto Blue Jays catcher proposed to the 30-year-old singer Monday with an emerald-cut engagement ring. Arencibia, 27, got down on one knee at Perry's parents' house in her hometown of Greenville, Tenn.

"He's just a really gentle soul. He balances me for sure," she told the newspaper. The couple, who started dating in 2012, plan to get married next summer.
The Band Perry, which also includes Kimberly's brothers Reid and Neil, are currently on tour.
