Kim Richards Arrested for Allegedly Shoplifting at Target
Her ex-husband says it wasn't alcohol-related
Kim Richards is in trouble again.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum was arrested on Sunday afternoon on suspicion of shoplifting at a Target in Los Angeles, Entertainment Tonightreports. She spent the night in jail and was released on Monday afternoon on $5,000 bail.
According to TMZ, a security guard caught Richards stealing more than $600 worth of items and performed a citizen's arrest.
In April, Richards was arrested and charged with public intoxication, battery and resisting arrest after she drunkenly caused a scene at a hotel in Beverly Hills. She subsequently entered rehab and finished her program just a few weeks ago. In an interview with ET last month, she said that she had been sober for more than 30 days.
Richards' ex husband, Monty, told Entertainment Tonight that he believes the shoplifting arrest was "a clear misunderstanding" and "was not alcohol- or drug-related."
