Kevin Can Wait's Kevin James Shares the Story of His Craziest Audition

Back in the day when Kevin Can Wait and The King of Queensstar Kevin James was a young actor and comedian hustling to make a living, he used to go on cattle call auditions, where anyone can go in and audition for a (usually small) part.

At the time, they weren't going well, and he wasn't booking any jobs. He told his agent he didn't want to do them anymore. So his agent came back to him with a better audition -- a pizza commercial.

He didn't want to do that, either, but then his friend Chris Rock suggested he go in to do the audition and just act crazy. He wouldn't get the part, but it would be funny to scare the casting people leading the audition.

James took Rock's advice, and recently told TVGuide.com exactly what his "crazy" audition entailed. And, of course, he got the part.

The moral of the story? "Just take your shirt off."
