It's been five years since Katherine Heigl walked away from Grey's Anatomy, but the rumors of her return have yet to simmer down.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Heigl addressed the question of there being truth to the rumor that she could be returning to the role she originated in 2005 and for which she won an Emmy in 2007. "There's not," she said. "I'm sorry."

That's probably not surprising since Heigl clearly left a bad taste in Shonda Rhimes' mouth. "There are no Heigls in this situation," she said last year of her Scandal cast.

But perhaps what is more interesting is what Heigl says - or rather, doesn't say - when asked if she would ever consider making another round at Seattle Grace Grey Sloan Memorial.

She also weighs in on how she feels about Derek Shepherd's recent (tragic) death, saying that she "can't even imagine the show without McDreamy."

Grey's Anatomy can't replace McDreamy, but they're trying

Check out what Heigl says about any possible returns to the ABC drama, and her wishes for the show's future.
