She's still shooting her shot
The first season of The Conners found the family rebounding from the death of matriarch Roseanne (Roseanne Barr) after she overdosed on opioids. As recoveries from dumpster fires go, The Conners managed to make a terrible situation pretty enjoyable, and one of the ways the whole Conner clan -- or at least Dan (John Goodman) -- carried on was to entertain the idea that there could be another lady of the house one day.

Though Dan wasn't exactly ready to let his old high school friend Louise, played by Katey Sagal, scoot beside him on the couch just yet, it looks like they'll get another chance to explore their feelings in Season 2. Sagal will appear in 10 of the season's 19 episodes, TV Line reports, and her dogged persistence to woo Dan will be a significant part of the story. She wants a relationship, showrunner Bruce Helford told TV Line, and she's not giving up. Dan, however, is still having difficulty and struggling with feelings that he'd be betraying his wife if he moves on. "We're taking it slow," Helford said -- meaning this juicy will they/ won't they story will have some legs.
The Conners' second season debuts Sept. 24 at 8/7c on ABC.
