Kate Gosselin Kicks Off New Year With New Do

After finalizing her divorce from Jon Gosselin, Kate Gosselin has kicked off the new year by unveiling a brand new hairdo to People.

Her short, spiky haircut may have inspired a Halloween wig and quite a few celebrity parodies, so the Jon & Kate Plus 8 star apparently was ready for a new, and much longer, hairstyle.

"Bonding extensions to those little hairs really took time. But in all those hours, she didn't complain once. She was so open to whatever I suggested, and willing to try just about anything," according to the man behind the 20-hour style session, Ted Gibson of TLC's What Not to Wear.

Gosselin, 34, seems to love it too, so far. "It's good to have hair again," she told the magazine. "I know this will be more upkeep than my old look, but I'm ready for it. I'm just grateful I don't have to go through the awkward growing-out process of short hair. I get criticized for everything I do enough as it is!"
