Kat Dennings is ready to jump back in front of television cameras after the end of 2 Broke Girls. The actress will executive produce and star in Dollface, a new Hulu comedy about a woman who struggles to rekindle her female friendships after breaking up with her longtime boyfriend.

Friends executive producer Ira Ungerleider will serve as showrunner for the new series, which was created by Jordan Weiss and also counts Margot Robbie in its producing staff. Yes, that Margot Robbie. Ingrid Goes West co-writer and director Matt Spicer will also direct Dollface's pilot episode, while Stephanie Laing (Veep) will serve as an executive producer and a director of multiple episodes.

"Reading Jordan's script was like opening a window into my own brain," says Dennings. "I'm so inspired by the stellar team we have around us and the unique world of this show, especially with Matt Spicer at the helm."

The series marks Dennings first series regular role on live-action TV since 2 Broke Girls ended in 2017. In the meantime, she's guest-starred on Drunk History and voiced characters for YouTube's Dallas & Robo with John Cena and Big Mouth on Netflix. Dollface begins production in 2019, but Hulu has not indicated if the show will premiere in the same year.
