Kari Byron, Tory Belleci and Grant Imahara Are Leaving MythBusters

Three familiar faces are leaving the long-running Discovery Channel seriesMythBusters. Kari Byron, Grant Imahara and Tory Bellici will be leaving the show after 10 years. Details of their departures are scarce, but Byron tweeted: "The show is taking a new direction. It was an amazing run. I learned so much about myself and the world. I love you all @MythBusters."

Three familiar faces are leaving the long-running Discovery Channel seriesMythBusters.

Details of their departures are scarce, but Byron tweeted: "The show is taking a new direction. It was an amazing run. I learned so much about myself and the world. I love you all @MythBusters."

Later, she added: "I am sad for an ending but there will be exciting new adventures for us."

Imahara and Belleci also thanked fans for their support.

"Thanks @MythBusters for allowing us to teach science in a whole new way," Imahara tweeted. "Also, explosions. Now, on to the next adventure!"

Added Belleci: "It's been an amazing ride for 10 years! We couldn't have done it without you guys. You're the best fans anyone could wish for. Thank you."

Hosts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman will be the only two cast members who return. In a video posted to the MythBusters Twitter page, the pair thanked the departing trio and said their final episode together marked "the end of an era" at the show.
