"Rated R" Denies He Had Girlfriend During The Bachelorette

Justin "Rated R" Rego is standing by his claim that he did not have a girlfriend while taping this season of The Bachelorette. "I was not in a relationship before I went on the show and I am still single now," Rego writes on his Facebook page, adding, "I feel betrayed, manipulated and unfairly lied to by the producers ... wanting this scandal created at the expense of my character."

Justin "Rated R" Rego is standing by his claim that he did not have a girlfriend while taping this season of The Bachelorette.

"I was not in a relationship before I went on the show and I am still single now," Rego writes on his Facebook page, adding, "I feel betrayed, manipulated and unfairly lied to by the producers ... wanting this scandal created at the expense of my character."

On Monday's episode, Ali Fetodowsky received a call from a woman named Jessica, who claimed to be Justin's girlfriend. When Ali confronted Justin, he called Jessica his "best friend," but clammed up when Ali asked him if was calling Jessica a liar.

In his statement, Rego, 26, also addressed the voicemails ABC played during the episode to prove that he had been in touch with Jessica during the taping. "I left those messages when I was very confused and ... those messages were actually left after I told producers that I wanted OFF THE SHOW in Iceland."

Craig R., the most recent contestant eliminated, told TVGuide.com that Justin is nothing more than an entertainer. "His main purpose in going on the show was to get himself some publicity," he said. "Anything he's saying now about not having a girlfriend is just a continuation of that. As long as he can keep controversy surrounding him, then he's doing what he wants to do to get more publicity."

ABC declined to comment.
