Exclusive: Charles in Charge's Josie Davis Cast on The Mentalist

Josie Davis will guest-star in the season premiere of The Mentalist, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

Davis will play Sonya, a waitress in a truck stop Jane (Simon Baker) and Lisbon (Robin Tunney) visit while investigating the seven possible Red John suspects.

"Jane and Lisbon are hot on the trail of Red John in the season premiere, but a disagreement on how to handle the situation may leave one of them in danger before the episode is over," creator Bruno Heller told us about the episode.

As previously reported by TV Line, Lauren Stamile will also guest-star in the hour.

Davis, best known for her role on the '90s sitcom Charles in Charge, most recently starred in the Lifetime movie Dirty Teacher.

The Mentalist premieres on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 10/9c on CBS.
