You're officially out of excuses to not watch CBS All Access' modern take on the iconic horror series, The Twilight Zone. In addition to producing the reboot, Jordan Peele will also step in front of the camera and serve as host. Peele certainly has some big shoes to fill -- no one can replace original host Rod Serling, after all -- but if anyone's up to the challenge, it's him.

"Rod Serling was an uncompromising visionary who not only shed light on social issues of his time, but prophesied issues of ours," Peele said in a statement. "I'm honored to carry on his legacy to a new generation of audiences as the gatekeeper of The Twilight Zone."

A reimagining of the original, this fresh iteration will also explore the human condition and prominent social issues through conscious storytelling. And who better to dive deep into what's plaguing society while imprinting your brains with permanent nightmares than the modern master of social horrors?

People are More Amped About the Twilight Zone Marathon than 2018

With a stacked resume that includes the brilliant sketch seriesKey & Peele as well as directingGet Out, the visceral horror film we still can't stop talking about, Peele's creative genius both in front of the camera and behind-the-scenes is unparalleled. Raise your hand if you can't wait to see what he cooks up in this upcoming series!

Peele's reboot of The Twilight Zone starts production this fall and heads to CBS All Access in the fall of 2019.
