Though the most recent episode is also down considerably from this season's premiere (9.8 million viewers), the tally is better than the 3 million viewers the show averaged before the tabloid scandals emerged.Still, the stark drop-off jibes with a TVGuide.com poll in which 60 percent of viewers said they would not continue to watch the show in its new single-parent format.
