Jon Hamm has a message for all the people talking about his crotch: It's rude!

In the latest issue of Rolling Stone, the Mad Men star responds to the paparazzi shots (or PhotoShops) pointing out his nether regions. Just last week, it was reported that a show staffer had to tell him to wear underwear due to the tight nature of the '60s-era wardrobe.

"Most of it's tongue-in-cheek, but it is a little rude," he tells the magazine. "It just speaks to a broader freedom that people feel like they have — a prurience. They're called 'privates' for a reason. I'm wearing pants, for f---'s sake. Lay off."

Mad Men returns on Sunday, April 7 at 9/8c on AMC.
