TV Couples: Should they or shouldn't they?
The Boyz N the Hood writer is set to rewrite, direct and produce the film about the legendary rapper's rise to fame and his murder following a boxing match in 1996.
"Tupac was the guy who I planned to do a lifetime of films," Singleton said. "His passing deeply affected my life as well as countless people in this world. His life story is as important to my generation."
Singleton will now begin rewriting the script and searching for the right actor to play Shakur. He hopes production can begin as early as June.
James G. Robinson, David Robinson and L.T. Hutton will also produce the biopic.
