John Mayer thinks Taylor Swift's song "Dear John" hit a little below the belt.
Mayer admitted in a new Rolling Stone  interview that he was "really humiliated" by the song, which Swift supposedly wrote about him. "I didn't deserve it," Mayer says. "I'm pretty good at taking accountability now, and I never did anything to deserve that. It was a really lousy thing for her to do."

John Mayer Cancels Tour to Undergo Throat Surgery

Mayer and Swift had been romantically linked before the release of "Dear John," which was included on Swift's 2010 album Speak Now. Swift, who is famous for drawing lyrical inspiration from her love life, sings on the track: "Dear John, I see it all, now it was wrong/Don't you think 19 is too young to be played by your dark twisted games, when I loved you so?"While the country starlet never officially acknowledged Mayer as the subject of the tune, she has said that the titular John should be obvious.Apparently, Swift's hurt feelings weren't so obvious to Mayer. "I was really caught off-guard, and it really humiliated me at a time when I'd already been dressed down. I mean, how would you feel if, at the lowest you've ever been, someone kicked you even lower?"Mayer's latest album, "Born and Raised," was released May 22. Sadly, no Swift-inspired tracks were included on the album.
