Jerry Seinfeld Thinks Political Correctness Is Killing Comedy

Jerry Seinfeld is not amused by the younger generation's concerns with identity politics. The comedian, who isn't exactly known for his controversial comedy, says kids these days are entirely too politically correct.

"Let me give you an example," Seinfeld told radio host Colin Cowherd. "My wife says to [my 14-year-old daughter], 'Well, you know, in the next couple of years, I think you're going to want to be hanging around the city more on the weekends, so you can see boys.' And you know what my daughter says? She says 'that's sexist.'"

"They just want to use these words," Seinfeld continued. "'That's racist. That's sexist. That's prejudice.' They don't' know what the f--k they're talking about."

Seinfeld added that he does think this political correctness is hurting comedy, but that not every comedian is concerned by this. "Louis [C.K.]'s great gift is that he doesn't worry. He just does his thing," Seinfeld said. "If I wanted to say something, I would say it."
