Jay Leno on David Letterman's Retirement: He and I Are Going to Broadway

David Letterman hasn't revealed what he plans to do after he retires from The Late Show in 2015, but his former rival Jay Leno has a suggestion: head to the Great White Way. When Extra asked Leno about Letterman's recent retirement announcement, Leno joked: "You know, he and I are going to do The Sunshine Boys on Broadway, so we're very excited about that."

Though Leno and Letterman both said last year that they had buried the hatchet in their very public feud, which dated back to the '90s, it's clear that their relationship is still far from a warm one. Asked if he would be willing to fill in for Letterman, Leno demurred.

"There's nothing to fill in," said Leno — who turned over hosting duties on The Tonight Show to Jimmy Fallon in February.

Leno also didn't have any suggestions for who should replace Letterman.
