Sadly, it appears that Dr. Drake's rounds are over on General Hospital.
Jason Thompson, who has played Dr. Patrick Drake on the ABC soap for 10 years, announced the news on Instagram on Friday.
"It was not an easy decision but I feel like it's time to hang up Dr. Patrick Drake's white coat and scrubs," he wrote, thanking the show's crew and the fans who "changed my life....GH is family to me, and I will miss you all dearly."

On a happier note, ABC has announced that Kimberly McCullough, who plays Patrick's ex Robin Scorpio, and Tristan Rogers, who plays her father Robert, will both be returning to Port Charles.
