Yes! Veronica Mars' Jason Dohring Will Lay Down the Law on The Originals

Jason Dohring -- who played the love interest on Veronica Mars for three seasons -- has been cast in a recurring role on The Originals, the Hollywood Reporter said on Thursday.
He'll be playing Detective Will Kinney on the CW's Vampire Diaries spinoff. THR says he's "described as smart and confident with a very clear sense of right and wrong, who is out to bring the forces of evil to justice."
The actor has recently appeared The Messengers, The Tomorrow People, and in the Veronica Mars movie. Veronica Mars the series was on UPN, a precursor to the CW network -- seems like Dohring's got a friend there! The actor also co-starred on the short-lived but beloved vampire series Moonlight on CBS.
Dohring will appear in The Originals' Season 3 premiere, which airs on Oct. 8 at 9/8c on The CW.
