However, fans will have to wait a while for that second helping. The network's renewal announcement Tuesday said new episodes won't return until 2017. The first season was a short six episodes but nonetheless a ratings success, thanks to The Walking Dead episode previews planted in commercial breaks. Badlands had the third largest cable launch of 2015, behind its AMC cohorts Fear the Walking Dead and Better Call Saul, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

To help fans pass the time until the series returns, AMC has Fear the Walking Dead Season 2 lined up as well as the highly anticipated Preacher, Hell on Wheels, Better Call Saul and Night Manager.
