Scott Marshall, who was crowned the winner of Ink Master Season 4, died over the weekend at just age 41, TMZ reports.

Marshall's wife Johanna said that her husband called her Saturday night, not feeling well enough to drive home from his tattoo shop near Chicago and spent the night at a nearby hotel. She became worried when he didn't answer her calls the next day and was later informed by two police officers that Scott had died at the hotel in his sleep.

A preliminary autopsy reports that the cause of death was related to his heart, but an investigation is ongoing.
