As far as royal screwups go, this ranks up there with the best: Due to what Fox is calling "an error with the graphics shown on screen," the network will air an encore of Tuesday's American Idol performance edition tonight from 9 to 10 pm/ET, followed by a revote. Apparently someone in the control room posted the wrong phone numbers for the final three contestants at the conclusion of last night's show, rendering the entire vote invalid. Fox says tonight's show will "combine new live elements with encores of Tuesday's performances from the remaining 11 contestants," which is a fancy way of saying, "Ryan Seacrest will do some live cutaways but everything else will be a repeat." Tonight's regularly scheduled results show will now air Thursday at 9 pm/ET, followed by the premiere of Life on a Stick.
