Hurt Locker, 30 Rock, Mad Men Honored at PGA Awards

Iraqi war drama The Hurt Lockertook home the top prize at the 21st annual Producer Guild of America awards.

Kathryn Bigelow, who also directed the film, accepted the Producer of the Year prize, saying "no other group of filmmakers could so understand the logistical challenges of making a film — particularly a tough little war film — in the middle of the summer in the Middle East," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Hurt Locker named National Society of Film Critics' best picture

Though The Hurt Locker didn't take home a Golden Globe last week, it did sweep the three biggest critics' best picture awards: the New York Film Critics Circle, the Los Angeles Film Critics Association and the National Society of Film Critics.

NBC's 30 Rock won the award for best comedy for the third year in a row and AMC's Mad Men won its second best drama award.
