Homeland Casts F. Murray Abraham

Oscar winner F. Murray Abraham is joining the cast of Homeland for Season 2, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Abraham will play Dar Adul, a brilliant operative from the CIA's Special Activities Division, on Showtime's terrorism drama, according to EW. Rupert Friend (Young Victoria) also joins the cast as a CIA agent.

Abraham, who won the Best Actor Academy Award for his role in Amadeus, recently appeared in a very different, very memorable role, as Louis C.K.'s kooky uncle, on Louie.

Homeland premieres Sunday, Sept. 30 at 10p/9c.
