HE'S BUSTED

Erin Brockovich remains a force to be reckoned with — just ask attorney John Reiner. The lawyer was convicted Monday of trying to extort $310,000 from Brockovich and her boss, Ed Masry, by threatening to blab that Brockovich was a bad mom and that she and Masry had an affair, The Associated Press reports. (Both have denied the allegations.) Reiner — who was found guilty of two counts of attempted extortion and one count of conspiracy to commit extortion — faces up to four years in prison. Brockovich and Masry's legal victory over Pacific Gas and Electric Co. was the basis for the film Erin Brockovich, starring Oscar winner Julia Roberts as Brockovich and Albert Finney as Masry.
