Sound the horn of Gondor and gather 'round for some very important news: We have our first look at Henry Cavill in Netflix's upcoming fantasy series The Witcher and there's something unmistakably familiar about his medieval garbs.

The streaming giant dropped a 20-second screen test on Wednesday featuring the clean-shaven actor decked out in full costume, blonde wig and all, looking ready to warn us that orcs are taking the hobbits to Isengard. If you squint your eyes enough, he's also a dead ringer for Daenerys Targaryen.

Cavill is set to play Geralt of Rivia, a demon hunter struggling to find his place in a dark and cruel world where the biggest monsters happen to be human. When destiny intervenes, he finds himself in the path of a powerful sorceress and a young princess with a dangerous secret. Together, the trio must learn to navigate the treacherous Continent together if they intend to survive.

The series is based on the fantasy books of the same name by novelist Andrzej Sapkowski and will be executive-produced by Daredevil's Lauren Schmidt Hissrich. Season 1 will consist of eight episodes. While we don't have a premiere date as of yet, you can get your Witcher fix with a fully-costumed Cavill in the preview below.

The Witcher was previously adapted into the 2001 film The Hexer as well as the 2002 TV series also called The Hexer. The fantasy novel series also spawned three video games including The Witcher, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
