HBO Shows Are Coming to Amazon Prime

Amazon Prime has secured exclusive rights for select HBO programming, including The Sopranos, Six Feet Under and The Wire, Amazon.com, Inc. announced Wednesday. The first wave of content, which will still be available on all HBO platforms, will be available online only on Amazon Prime Instant Video starting May 21. As part of the deal, HBO GO will also become available on Fire TV, offering subscribers access to over 1,700 titles.

The first wave of programming to be made available includes all seasons of Deadwood, RomeEastbound & DownEnlightened and Flight of the Conchords. Miniseries, films and documentaries, including Band of BrothersGame Change and When the Levees Broke, will also be available, as will comedy specials and select seasons of such current series as True Blood and Boardwalk Empire.

In the future, early seasons of GirlsThe NewsroomVeep and more will also be made available for Amazon Prime subscribers.
