HBO Renews Veep and Silicon Valley

Good news for Selina Meyer and the guys at Pied Piper!

Things are looking good for now-President Selina Meyer and the Pied Piper team! HBO has renewed Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Veep for a fifth season and techie comedy Silicon Valley for a third season, the network announcedMonday.

"Veep and Silicon Valley are terrific series, and I'm immensely proud that they will return to HBO next year," said Michael Lombardo, president of HBO programming, in a statement. "Along with Game of Thrones and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, both of which have already been renewed for 2016, they give HBO a stellar Sunday night like no other."

Both comedies aired their season premieres Sunday night.

As previously reported, Veep's creator Armando Iannucci will not return with the series next season. Curb Your Enthusiasm exec producer David Mandel will take the reins in Season 5.
