Steve McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) got a blast from the past in the Season 5 finale of Hawaii Five-0 when his former flame Catherine (Michelle Borth) returned. But will she be sticking around the island for good?
"The first few episodes [of Season 6] include a McGarrett/Catherine arc that will answer this," showrunner Peter Lenkov tells TVGuide.com. "I can promise you that by Episode 3, there will be a surprise turn in their relationship."
Whether that turn is a good or bad surprise remains to be seen, but McGarrett's not the only member of Five-0 for whom love is in the air this season. A new character will be introduced whom Lenkov describes as "a potential love interest" for Chin Ho (Daniel Dae Kim).

Near the end of Season 5, Kim told TVGuide.com he wanted a romantic story line for Chin. "I think it's time," he said. "This season, we haven't seen much of Chin's personal life. ... I think it's time to get a little romance back into Chin's life. I would welcome that."
