J.K. Rowling, author, philanthropist, maker of dreams, has once again made our hearts soar higher than a golden Snitch with the announcement of a new Harry Potter play.

Titled Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the play is a collaboration between Rowling, writer Jack Thorne and director John Tiffany. Imogen Heap -- of O.C. soundtrack fame -- will do the music (but don't worry, Rowling promises it won't be a musical). The anticipated show will open at the Palace Theatre on London's West End next summer, with tickets to go on sale this fall.

Though Rowling had teased a potential Harry Potter prequel play years ago, she revealed that is not the plan for Cursed Child. However, the play will tell an "untold part of Harry's story."

Between Cursed Child and the movie spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, starring Eddie Redmayne, 2016 should be a monumental year for Rowling and Potterheads. And as if this wasn't reason enough to celebrate, today also happens to be the 18th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.

So break out the Butterbeer and start brainstorming about theories for what exactly Cursed Child might be.
