With just over a week until Hairspray Live!hits the small screen, NBC has offered up new photos of the cast all decked out in their 1960s finery.

The musical, airing Dec. 7, is based on the Tony Award-winning Broadway production, following the spunky Tracy Turnblad (newcomer Maddie Baillio) as she reaches her dream of dancing on the Baltimore TV dance program The Corny Collins Show. She's then encouraged to see the all-white show integrated with the support of her force-of-nature mom Edna (Harvey Fierstein), bringing her whole town together through rocking songs and dancing.

In new shots released Monday, it looks like Tracy may have made some progress in bringing everyone together, as her friends -- including Little Inez (Shahadi Wright Joseph) and Link Larkin (Garrett Clayton) -- are sharing the same dance floor with resident mean girl Amber (Dove Cameron) as well as Tracy's pals Penny (Ariana Grande), Seaweed J. Stubbs (Ephraim Skyes) and Corny Collins, played by Derek Hough.

All those big smiles and bright lights suggest good times and high-energy performances are in store. And is it just us, or could we totally see Ariana Grande rocking that retro-chic look well after Hairspray Live! is done?

Hairspray Live! airs Wednesday Dec. 7 at 8/7c on NBC.
