Gwyneth Paltrow is in negotiations to guest-star on Glee, E! Online reports.

The 37-year-old Oscar winner would play a substitute teacher who fills in to head the glee club when Will (Matthew Morrison) falls ill. Naturally, the kids take a liking to her, which prompts Mr. Schu to fall for her too.

The two-episode arc, which would air in November, was written specifically for Paltrow by friend (and Glee co-creator) Ryan Murphy, according to the site. Murphy is set to direct the first episode, scheduled to begin shooting in two weeks.

The wife of Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin, Paltrow has shown off her vocal chops in the 2000 film Duets. She will play a famous country singer battling addiction in the upcoming feature Country Strong, which opens this December.

Glee's second season premieres Tuesday at 8/7c on Fox.
