Grey's Anatomy Season 13 Trailer: DeLuca Fights for His Life

Alex's (Justin Chambers) assault on DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti) at the end of Grey's Anatomy's 12th season may have more serious consequences than anyone could have predicted.

A new Season 13 trailer shows DeLuca fighting for his life in the hospital -- where no one but Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) knows that it was Alex who sent him there.

"You think no one is gonna realize this is you?" Meredith asks her BFF. "You could go to jail."

Grey's Anatomy Season 13 will focus on "the originals"

Grey's star Kelly McCreary, who plays DeLuca's ex Maggie, tells TVGuide.com that there's an "intense fallout" from Alex's actions.

"The doctors in the hospital [have] to reckon with the notion that one of their own could have been so violent," McCreary says. "It causes some friction among the doctors. There's definitely sides being taken."
