Jimmy will have more time to work on his grandfathering skills. Fox has ordered a full season of John Stamos' Grandfathered, the network announced Wednesday.

Grandfathered follows the shenanigans that ensue when suave bachelor Jimmy (Stamos) learns that he has a son (Josh Peck) and a granddaughter, and tries to become a family man.

"Since the very beginning, we knew this show would be that rare commodity - a genuinely original family comedy," said David Madden, president of entertainment at Fox, in a statement. "The remarkable John Stamos, Josh Peck, Paget Brewster and the entire cast have sparkling chemistry, and the show's creative team has delivered fantastic scripts that keep these great characters moving. We know fans are going to love the surprises in store for the rest of the season."

Grandfathered's most recent episode attracted a soft 1.0 rating among the adult 18-49 demographic and 3.3 million viewers total, though Fox notes that the show has still shown year-over-year improvement in the timeslot.

Grandfathered is currently on a brief hiatus due to the World Series and will return on Tuesday at 9/8c unless a sixth game is required.
