Childish Gambino (aka Donald Glover) took the stage during Sunday night's Grammy Awards, which were hosted by James Corden, for a stellar performance of "Awaken My Love." However, after a jaw-dropping vocal run-off with a young singer, many were left wondering who this kid in the blue blazer with the powerful voice was. His name is JD McCrary and he's one to watch.

The young singer has appeared in numerous television series including K.C. Undercover, Teachers and OWN's The Paynes, and he performed on Childish Gambino's 2016 album Awaken, My Love. He'll next be seen showcasing his incredible voice in the live-action remake of The Lion King as the voice of Young Simba, slated for release in 2019. Glover is also in the film playing the older version of Simba.
