Their collaboration had some scratching their heads
Sunday night's Grammy Awards featured several unforgettable performances including Bruno Mars and Cardi B.'s heart-pumping rendition of "Finesse (Remix) and Kendrick Lamar's sizzling opener. However, one performance was memorable for all the wrong reasons.
Legendary rocker Sting and Carribean singer Shaggy took the stage together in a strange collaboration that left many on social media scratching their heads. "Sting. Shaggy. Make it make sense," wrote user @theCRISTYshow. Added @carlyaquilino, "If you would have told me yesterday that I was going to see so much Shaggy at the #grammys I would have laughed hysterical and wrote about how funny you are in my diary."

Here's what the rest of Twitter had to say about the unlikely duo who are slated to release a joint, Carribbean-infused album on April 20.

Good to see Shaggy, but where did the #GRAMMYs dig him up from? Luv him still. Big up to all Jamaicans a foreign🇯🇲🇯🇲.

Watching Shaggy and Sting perform at the Grammys is comparable to watching your grandfather do something mad embarrassing in a public restaurant

Wait, when did Sting and Shaggy become a thing?

However, not everyone was confused by the collaboration. Some thought it made perfect sense.
Seriously ❤️ all the people freaking out about the Sting #Shaggy collab. We saw them first in Kingston weeks ago and it was wicked. We told you it was coming! #TeamShaggy4Kids #GrammyAwards pic.twitter.com/UqrmuayBYU
