Grammy Nominees to Again Be Unveiled on CBS Special

For the third year in a row, Grammy nominations will be announced during a live concert special on CBS, the Recording Academy has announced.

The one-hour special will air Wednesday, Dec. 1 at 10/9c. In addition to revealing this year's nominees, the special will feature live performances by past Grammy winners and nominees. The event's lineup has not yet been set.Nominations were traditionally announced at a morning news conference until 2008, when the first prime-time special aired. Both previous specials have received meager ratings, despite appearances from top acts such as Black Eyed Peas, Mariah Carey and Celine Dion.The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards will broadcast from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011 at 8/7c on CBS.
