Twins Cara and Mady, 8, rode with their mom to the school bus pickup point in a local parking lot with mom Kate, while dad arrived in a separate car to see off his daughters on their first day of third grade Thursday morning.

The View taps reality mom Kate Gosselin as co-host

Come Friday, the sextuplets will begin their first day of junior kindergarten for three days a week.According to Jon, 5-year-olds Hannah, Leah, Alexis, Joel, Aaden and Collin are not all ready for kindergarten yet because they were "preemies," so class assignments will be split up by personality. "Alexis and Collin are definitely not going to be classmates," said Jon.

While the twins are the most excited to get back to class because they "live out in the middle of nowhere and all their friends are close to school," Jon says the six little ones aren't anxious at all about their first day of school."They use each other as a security blanket," he says. "So as long as they're all going, [they're not nervous]. If I would send like one, they'd probably freak out."
