He was arrested Tuesday
Gleestar Mark Salling has been arrested for possession of child pornography, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. TMZ adds that Salling's family has already posted his bail.
Salling was arrested early Tuesday morning after a search by the LAPD's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force of a Sunland, Calif., residence. According to TMZ, thousands of images were found on his computer of children "significantly younger than 15 or 16 years old." They've seized computers, tablets and cell phones from the residence. The website also claims LAPD was tipped off by Salling's ex-girlfriend.
The maximum sentence in California for someone having more than 600 images of child pornography is five years in prison.

Salling was sued in 2013 for sexual assault and battery by a woman who claimed he had unprotected sex with her against her will. The suit was later settled. He played football stud Noah "Puck" Puckerman on Glee.
Salling's reps have yet to reply to TVGuide.com's requests for comment.
