New Glee Season 5 Promo: New Directions Takes on The Beatles' "All You Need Is Love"

After a long summer of waiting, Fox has finally released the first footage from Glee's upcoming fifth season.

In the new — and surprisingly upbeat — footage, it's quickly apparent that the New Directions are very serious about their latest assignment from Mr. Schue to perform songs by The Beatles. Sam and several of the club's leading men channel the Fab Four's black suits and mop top hair styling, while some of the glee club's younger members pay homage to the group's Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band phase with very elaborate, and very colorful, costumes.

Season 5 of Glee will kick off with a two-part Beatles tribute including performances of the quartet's biggest hits like "Yesterday," "Something," and "All You Need Is Love." An album featuring these songs, title Glee Sings The Beatles, hits stores on Sept. 24.
